Introduction of Colombia

Many people always ask us why Colombia? Well, because it is a country with great opportunities and a very pleasant country to live in!

The country has a very undeserved reputation of drug issues, guerrilla wars and corruption. And yes, this is true and will be part of the country for a long time, but there is also a completely different side that people do not know.

Colombia has an economic growth that varies around 3% for the past years, which resulted in a significant growth of the middle and upper class of the country. Many large multinationals are already active on the market but there is so much more potential to be explored, also for smaller companies.

In addition, the country is one of the most biodiverse in the world. It is no surprise to us that Colombia has been selected to be one of the most interesting countries to visit for touristic purposes in the past years.

This biodiversity is not only interesting for tourism, but also for agriculture since there are many different climates, from snow to dessert, from amazon jungle to beaches and everything in between.

Therefore, Colombia has a very favourable climate for products such as coffee, cacao, avocado’s, (exotic) fruits and many more. In addition, there are many opportunities for the implementation of technologies but also for the sourcing of natural products and derivates.

Besides the biodiversity and economic growth there is also another pleasant aspect and that is the people. The people of Colombia generally very friendly, willing to help and motivated to work in order to take advantage of the potential that the country has. The newer generations understand that there is a lot of work to be done and want to change the country in a positive way.

All-in-all, a country with nice people, a fast-growing economy and high biodiversity make Colombia a very nice country to life and do business in.
